imagine living with your head so far up your ass that you think people being concerned about a very real, very serious issue that targets them specifically is just performative outrage because ~twitter~
and i can't even tell you how many times i've been told that an insensitive, toxic, or otherwise disgusting comment is something i should take "as a compliment"
fuck that noise
@extinct this has the same energy as inventing elaborate outlandish scenarios where a guy with a guy will kill you if you don't shout the n word so its okay to say it then right
@georgespolitzer the amount of pretzeling this particular person is doing to defend someone else's fetish is bizarre
@extinct Oh my GOD the willful misinterpretation of the term "fetishizing" and then it somehow gets WORSE from there
@extinct Oh, no, it turns out it wasn't a misinterpretation of the term
That's even worse!
@witchfynder_finder yeah, less misinterpretation and just a pathological need to excuse it
@extinct Yeah I hadn't seen the first set of screenshots and then I did see them and 😬
lol the whataboutism
look at all these examples of other non-yt peoples who've felt the pain of western white colonial miasma at one point or another in their history
they had tribes/clans, so it's ok!
or, maybe, fetishizing colonized indigenous peoples is gross and bad no matter where or who they are
